Seems that the economy is no stranger to the adult business, if anything it has hit the industry hard.  I been getting emails left and right from talent asking why companies have lower the prices for scenes now, well its that great saying shit rolls down hill.

If website sales have gone down this means companies do not have the cash flow to pay out the cash they use to offer.  This does not mean companies are trying to be cheap but if they are not making sales they are not going to have the cash flow to update as often as they did before.

I see it way to often in emails where talent thinks they are being screwed money wise because maybe a year ago they where making ABC for money but now they only can make XYZ.  This is not the case, hard times means everyone must tighten their belts.  Do not take it personal if a company is not offering the same money they did before or even rejects you because they already have content with you.  If anything we must all ride the wave together an hope that things will pick up for everyone. 

All I have to say is what any producer or company can offer you now you might have to bite the bullet and take if you want to be there when things get good again.  Now I am not saying lower your standards but take into consideration that these are hard times for everyone and not that producers or companies are trying to be cheap they have to manage the money to keep afloat.

New talent should always ask questions before taking on any work.  Do not feel that you should have to keep your mouth shut when it comes to adult work, most new talent feel over whelmed when it comes to getting work.  Like any job you should ask what is they want you to do, pay rate, hours and so on.  Now all are subject to some change but good adult employers keep close to their guide lines.

If anyone wants to hire you and you want some questions answered there should be no problems with that at all.  When I hire girls I ask tons of questions, I answer any questions they might have and I always ask new talent to the business if they are sure this is something they want to do.

Always keep in mind that this business can be easy fast cash, but we see it too often that talent will have a change of heart about what they did and want to erase the past.  Be a responsible adult, by choosing to do adult work you take 100% responsibility for your actions.   This means a year from now if you regret what you did do not blame the producers, companies or those around you they did not force you to fuck, suck or be naked.  I find it frustrating when talent who has performed several or even hundreds of times try to blame everyone else but themselves for their actions.

So if you are thinking of becoming an adult performer do not only focus on the money, focus on yourself.  Always know this is a JOB, yes it can be fun, satisfying but in the end its work.

Always keep in mind if someone who wants to hire you will not give you answers to questions you have, most likely you should pass on the position.
